Special Event Parking Request

This on-line form is for departments or organizations that wish to make special parking arrangements for groups, meetings, or conferences on campus.

Parking resources are limited. For this reason, arrangements need to be made or information gathered concerning parking when events are in the planning stage so that available services and options can be explored.

Time Frames:

For Special Events (Charter Buses, Mountain Heritage Day, other Large Events) please request as early as possible, but at least 3 weeks ahead of time. The longer you give us to work on it, the easier it will be to get done.

For general parking services (Small events, Coning Spots, etc) please submit your request at least 1 week ahead of time, so that we can have personel on hand to accomidate you.

Services and Options include:

Issuing parking permits:

Public Safety will issue permits for campus lots depending on space availability. The charge is $6 per day per permit when events are held during the day. Unused permits cannot be returned for a refund.

Coning/ Blocking spaces:

Public Safety will cone/ block spaces for events and provide appropriate permits. The charge is $12 per day per space.

Monitoring lots:

Public Safety will provide monitor services to monitor to reserve the parking lot for an event (evening and weekend events only). It's common for monitor services to start 2.5 hours before the start of the event. Monitor fees are $24.00 per hour* and there is a three-hour minimum.

Posting signs:

Public Safety will post a signs at the entrances to a lot stating that it is reserved on the event date. This option is only available outside normal lot operational hours (after 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and on weekends). Parking is not guaranteed with this option. Parking Control will not respond to remove vehicles or issue citations to vehicles that do not observe the posted sign. The fee is $40 per sign.

Reserving Lots weeknights after 5 p.m. and weekends:

Public Safety will reserve parking lots exclusively for a specific event when requested and not conflicting with other events. This requires payment for at least one monitor, a lot reserved sign and payment of $2.00 per space.

Barricades:

Barricades are available upon request, but the price will be determined by Parking Services at the time of installment.
